It started with one… and then there were two… and then I was bombarded with different ways you can toss goat’s cheese on flat bread. So, I thought I would share with you some of my findings. Quite honestly, I don’t know why pizza is made with mozzarella anymore, because the alternatives are so appealing. But, it always feels nice for us foodies to keep some things for ourselves, I guess, adventurous cheese pizzas being one of them.
Rustic Fig and Goat’s Cheese Pizza- I just love figs, and love them more when cheese is involved- any kind. There are so many different ways to explore with the fruit and cheese combination, but this recipe is a great place to start.
Grilled Flatbreads with Pear Arugula and Goat’s Cheese- I hate to say another one from Sprouted Kitchen, but hey, once you’ve mastered the goat’s cheese pizza, you’ve got a fan base in the bag. Read about my favourite ingoogle books’ Sprouted Kitchen cookbook.
Roasted Pumpkin, Goat’s Cheese, Rosemary, and Toasted Almond Pizza- This one is more of a fall meal, and it certainly does “fall” under the category of Goat’s Cheesy Delights. Try it out here.
Fresh Tomato Tart- a beautiful take on the classic pizza. David always knows how to do it right. Try it here.
Blueberry and Goat’s Cheese Pizza- a little bit sweeter, shall we? Nutmeg Nanny suggests an awesome combo that’s stupidly simple I’m angry that I didn’t think of it first!
Apricot and Prosciutto Thin Crust Pizza- never doubt “myrecipes.” This one, fruit-themed again, is a keeper, I’m telling you.
